Impact at home

Teachers across Canada are empowering their students to address critical social issues, all while building the key social and emotional skills to be future-ready, confident global citizens. WE Charity provides free resources, from teacher modules and professional development sessions that help build educator capacity to lesson plans and activities for students, all integrating trauma-informed practices, social and emotional learning and well-being.

WE Schools is an innovative series of experiential service-learning programs that engage educators and youth globally to empower them with the skills, knowledge and motivation to bring positive change to themselves and the world. It is designed to follow four steps that challenge students to dive deeper into critical social issues: Investigate and Learn, Action Plan, Take Action, Report and Celebrate.

WE Charity also offers tools and resources for people of all ages, empowering them to promote their own well-being and the well-being of others, through WE Charity's WE well-being program. The program’s approach is built on evidence-based prevention and promotion strategies, designed to build a foundation of awareness, understanding and taking action and was developed in collaboration with leading mental health professionals.

WE Day—one of WE’s signature initiatives—was the manifestation of the WE movement: an unparalleled celebration of young people and educators who have made a difference. Held in over 15 cities across the United States, Canada, the UK and the Caribbean, the event series featured an inspiring line-up of world-renowned speakers, award-winning performers and real-world stories of change. WE Charity, following the guidelines of public health experts, pausing all WE Day activities in 2020 and ultimately made the difficult decision to end the initiative.
